Baby Rose is an emerging Atlanta-based R&B artist whose creative desire is to be a timeless voice in a rapidly evolving industry. As a creative director, we developed this as the North Star for her career.
THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT
Role: Creative Director, Set Design
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is a nationally syndicated series known for showcasing culture’s tour de forces and breaking emerging artists. During quarantine, the television show continued broadcasting music performances albeit without the production quality and energy of it's live studio. Seeing as many of the performances were lofi and taking place from the comfort of the artist's home, an opportunity presented itself for us to stray from the pact. We wanted to create a transformative set and performance that had yet to exist in the moment.
The musical movement was captured in a space that balanced naturalistic and industrial elements representing the dichotomy that is Baby Rose’s stylings: an old soul with a new flare.
NPR TINY DESK
Role: Creative Director
NPR Tiny Desk has revolutionized how fans connect with their favorite artist through digital platforms via a recurring thematic aesthetic. Due to Tiny Desk being a large content series I wanted to ensure that Baby Rose and her band stood out by having them wear a color palette emblematic of her namesake.
COLOR STUDIOS
Role: Creative Director
Color Studios is the go-to platform for discovering new, genre-defining talent: the music industry's highly coveted stepping stone in an artist's career. With limited creative freedom, we wanted to maintain a visual consistency in her appearance across large digital platforms such as Color Studios. Again, the palette evokes that of a rose.
BRANDING
Role: Creative Director, Graphic Designer, Layout Design, Art Direction
Baby Rose’s brand identity was overhauled to develop a cohesive graphic strategy to live across logos, merchandising, and promotional materials.
